Terms of Service

Last updated: June 5, 2025

Plain English, as always. By joining the waitlist or using Abyss, you agree to these terms.

What Abyss is

Abyss is a pre-launch Chrome extension that helps you draft and track personalized cold emails from any company page. These terms apply to your use of the Abyss website, waitlist, and (once available) the Chrome extension.

Who can use Abyss

You must be at least 13 years old to use Abyss. By signing up, you confirm that the information you provide (like your email address) is accurate.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist means you would like to be notified when Abyss launches. It does not guarantee access, and it does not create any payment obligation. We will email you when your spot is ready and give you a clear way to unsubscribe at any time.

Use the extension responsibly

Abyss is a tool for legitimate outreach. You agree not to use it to:

  • Send spam, bulk unsolicited emails, or harassing messages.
  • Impersonate another person or company.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the Abyss service.

We reserve the right to remove access for anyone who misuses Abyss.

Gmail permission

Abyss requests a Gmail compose-only permission to pre-fill draft emails. We never read your inbox or send emails without your explicit action. You can revoke this permission at any time from your Google account settings.

No payments yet

Abyss is free during the pre-launch period. We will clearly communicate any pricing before charging you anything. You will never be billed without your explicit consent.

Intellectual property

Everything on the Abyss site and in the extension — the name, logo, design, and code — belongs to us. You are welcome to share links to our site, but please do not copy or redistribute our content without permission.

No warranties

Abyss is provided as-is. We are a pre-launch product, so things may change, break, or be unavailable from time to time. We cannot guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or that the emails it generates will produce any particular result.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Abyss and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to lost revenue or data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will update the date at the top and notify you by email if the change is material. Continued use of Abyss after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be handled in a US court of competent jurisdiction.
